French striker Anthony Martial was the hero as Manchester United returned to winning ways beating Sheffield United 3-0 in an English Premier League encounter played on Wednesday, June 24th.
It was the second game for Manchester United since the Premier League restart after the stop due to the deadly Coronavirus.
Manchester United raced to an early lead thanks to Martial who converted a ball through to him by Marcus Rashford in the 7th minute.
Martial scored his second in the 44th minute with Aaron Wan-Bissaka the provider to give Manchester United a comfortable two-goal advantage going to the halftime break.
The French man would score his hat-trick in the 84th minute from an assist by Rashford.
The win meant Manchester United narrowed the lead held by fourth-placed Chelsea to one point as the Blues face a read hot Manchester City on Thursday.
