Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the first-ever edition of the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award.
The 22-year-old Paris FC shot-stopper was shortlited alongside nine others goalkepeers on the continent including South Africa’s duo of Andile Dlamini and Kaylin Stwart.
Nnadozie was one of Super Falcons best players at the Women’s FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand as she kept three clean sheets.
She was also impressive for Paris FC en route to the French team’s qualification for the group stage of the Women’s Champions League this season.
The Super Falcons goalie made a couple of penalty saves against Arsenal and Wolfsburg as Paris FC secured qualification into the group stage of the elite competition.
She was intrumental to the team’s performance last season as they finished third behind PSG and Lyon. She kept 16 clean sheets in 29 matches.
Nnadozie will be looking to be the first recipient of the award next month.
The ceremony will take place in Marrakech, Morocco on December 11, 20223.
