Breaking: FG jerk fuel price to N143 per litre
The Federal Government of Nigeria has raised the pump price of fuel to N143.50, effective July 1, 2020.
In a 4-paragraph statement released Wednesday by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), the government said it has reviewed the monthly price band.
According to the release, “After a review of the prevailing market fundamentals in the month of June and considering Marketers’ realistic operating costs, as much as practicable, we wish to advise a new PMS pump price band of N140.80 – N143.80/litre for the month of July, 2020.”
The new price, a monthly exercise, is a hike from the N121.50/litre which the product sold for in June.
