Breaking! Super Eagles’ Samuel Chukwueze Loses Mother After Long-term Illness

The mother of Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has passed away after battling a long-term illness.

David Chukwueze, the elder brother of the Fulham winger, confirmed the death of their mother in a series of Instagram posts.

“Can’t even post say RIP mom,” Chukwueze’s brother wrote.

“My forever love just left me without saying goodbye.”

“You didn’t even carry your grandchild.”

According to reports, Samuel Chukwueze’s mother, Mrs. Sarah Chukwueze, has been sick for a while, and the player reportedly had to shuffle between England and Italy, where she was being treated, during the first half of the season.

The death of Samuel Chukwueze’s mother comes days after Wilfred Ndidi’s father died in a car accident.

Samuel Chukwueze had two assists in five matches for the Super Eagles at the just-concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The winger scored on his return from the competition as Fulham came from a goal down to beat Brighton, Hove and Albion last week.

The Nigeria Football Federation also confirmed the death of Chukwueze’s mother in a statement via its official website on Thursday.
