Bukayo Saka among nominees for PFA Young Player of the Year award
The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has announced the nominees for the 2019/20 Young Player of the Year awards.
The nominees were revealed on the social media accounts of the PFA on Friday, September 4th.
For the men’s award Player of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka is among the nominees.
Saka had an outstanding season with Premier League giants Arsenal.
He however was missing from the nominees for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award despite being the top goal provider for the Gunners.
Other nominees for the Young Player of the Year award include Manchester United duo Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount as well as Liverpool’s Trent Alexander Arnold.
For the Women’s Young Player of the Year award, the nominees are Erin Cuthbert of Chelsea, Manchester City trio Ellie Roebuck, Georgia Stanway, and Lauren Hemp. Others are Lauren James of Manchester United and Chloe Kelly for her perfromace at Everton.
