Can Liverpool still break Manchester City’s 100 point record after dropping points against Burnley?

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley in a Premier League encounter played at Anfield on Saturday, July 11th.

The Reds who are already crowned champions took the lead in the 34th minute when Andrew Robertson converted a ball through to him by Fabinho.

Jurgen Klopp’s men went to the halftime break with the lead but Burnley equalized in the 69th minute when James Tarkowski located Jay Rodriguez to score.

Liverpool tried to find the winner as they had 23 shots but could not get it done as Burnley held on to snatch a draw.

The result means that Liverpool drop points at home for the first time this season. The Reds have 93 points with three games left to play.

Klopp’s side have set their sights on breaking the 100 point record Manchester City recorded in the 2017/18 season and to do so now they cannot afford to drop points against Arsenal, Chelsea or Newcastle United.
