President Catalunya, Quim Torra, according to reports, has sent Lionel Messi a farewell message over his imminent departure from the Catalan club after 20 years
He said;
“Catalunya will always be your home. Thank you so much for this time of happiness and extraordinary football. We had the fortune of spending years with the best player in the world, and a noble sportsman.”
News broke this evening that the Argentine captain has told the Barcelona board he wants to leave the club and several sources are saying the board is take a decision on Messi’s claim in the coming days.
Lionel Messi’s release clause is said to be in the region of €700m which according to reports already expired on the 10th of June.
