Former Golden Eaglets hopeful Emmanuel Adeyemo is hoping to become the next Yaya Toure of world football.
The Nigerian youngster who’s heavily linked with a move to Portuguese giants FC Porto hopes to be viewed in the same light as the Ivorien and ex Man City superstar.
Adeyemo says the former Barcelona all-action midfielder is his football hero and hopes he can replicate his longevity.
Adeyemo failed to make Nigeria’s U-17 side to 2019 World Cup in Brazil as he was undergoing.trials at Primera league side Belenenses but the talented 18-year old midfielder could land a deal with Porto in the next few weeks.
Alongside Abioye Michael, Adeyemo had a chance to train with Swedish top division side BK Hacken in 2018 after impressing the Tiki Tiki Football development officials during a scouting tournament held in Ibadan.
Four times African Footballer of the Year Toure cemented his place among the greats and has had a trophy laden career with three Premier League and two La Liga titles among other honours.
