Video of the day: Watch Gareth Bale’s hat-trick for Tottenham against Inter Milan in the Champions League
Wales winger Gareth Bale is celebrating his birthday on Thursday, July 16th 2020.
Bale was born in Cardiff on July, 16th 1989 which makes him 31-years-old.
He has scared in two Champions League finals but his finest moment will be in the Champions League group stage against Inter Milan.
On October 20 2010 Gareth Bale was playing for Tottenham Hotspur against the reigning European champions Inter Milan.
Inter Milan went in front as early as the second minute through captain Javier Zanetti, Samuel Eto’o converted a penalty to make it two in the 11th minute.
Dejan Stankovic made ith three n he 14th minute and Eto’o scored the fourth for Inter Milan in the 35th minute as they went to the halftime break with a massive lead.
However, Gareth Bale would provide one of the best second-half performances in football history.
Bale pulled one back in the 52nd minute he then scored again in the 90th minute and completed his hat-trick in the 91st minute but time was not enough as Inter Milan won 4-3 in front of 49,551 fans in attendance at the San Siro, Milan.
