Guinea 1 Nigeria 6: Flamingos secure 1st leg advantage is qualification for 2020 U-17 Women’s World Cup
Nigeria’s Women U-17 team beat their counterparts from Guinea 6-1 away from home in a qualification encounter for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on Saturday, March 7th.
The Flamingos secured a 6-1 victory at the September 28 Stadium in Conakry, Guinea.
Acting head coach Bankole Olowookore fielded a strong lineup.
Goalscorers for the Flamingos were Chinyere Kalu in the 3rd minute a hat trick by, Yemisi Samuel in the 11’, 85’, 91’minute while, Rofiat Imuran added a brace with goals in the 18th and 65th minute with Guinea scoring their only goal in the 81st minute.
Flamingos will host Guinea in the second leg encounter at the Agege Soccer Temple.
