Ikorodu City recorded their first away win of the season with a slim win over Lobi Stars at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Saturday afternoon.
Shola Adelani scored in the 81st minute to give coach Nurudeen Aweroro and Ikorodu City an important win away from home.
Adelani finished off from the back post to secure the win and his 9th goal of the season.
The win takes Ikorodu City to third on the log with 44 points – one more than Shooting Stars in fourth place.
In other results Rivers United took advantage of Remo Stars poor form away from home.
The Pride of Rivers edged Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at home to close the gap on league leaders Remo Stars after the Sky Blue Stars lost to Bendel Insurance 2-1.
