“It’s Anderlecht or nothing” – Nigerian striker Arokodare begins work strike to force exit from Latvian club
Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has declared his wish is to quit his Latvian club Valmeria FC so as to play for Belgian club Anderlecht and has refused to train to force a move.
The former Golden Eaglets striker Arokodare still has years on his contract with Valmeria who have now threatened to report him to FIFA after they claimed he has embarked on a strike to force his transfer to the Belgian giants.
The lanky centre forward has now made public his wishes to move to Belgium.
“Anderlecht would be the ideal step in my career at the moment ” said former Box to Box of Lagos striker Arokodare.
“My club would also receive a record sum for me. I do not understand that there is no deal at the moment. I will also decline any other offer,I want to move to Anderlecht.”
Arokodare 19 has so far netted 14 goals in 14 games for in Latvia.
His club could pocket as much as one million euros for the highly promising striker should he move.
