Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been nominated for Leicester City’s Goal of the Season award.

The nominees for Leicester City’s Goal of the Season award were announced on the club’s official Twitter handle.

Iheanacho’s strike which was nominated was his incredible effort back in January against English championship Brentford.

Iheanacho’s goal against Brentford was provided by teenage full-back James Justin and was the only strike of the game as Leicester City won the Emirates FA Cup third-round clash 1-0.

Iheanacho is not the only player nominated for the award, there are 11 other Leicester City players who have scored goals worthy of consideration.

Here are the other nominees for Leicester City’s Goal of the Month – Jamie Vardy, Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, Ayoze Perez, Ben Chilwell, and Hamza Choudhury.

The award will be voted by Leicester City fans with voting closing on Friday 24 July
