Messi remains Barcelona captain
Lionel Messi has been re-elected captain of Barcelona after being voted for the armband by teammates.
Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Sergio Roberto fall in line behind the Argentine as the other captains of the team.
Since the departure of Andres Iniesta from Barcelona in 2018, Messi has been named captain of the Blaugrana.

The Argentine is in his 17th season with the Barcelona senior team and his third season as the captain.
He nearly exited the club in the last few weeks after disagreements with the board and coaching crew but made a last-minute volte-face to renew his contract until 2021.
