Napoli Offer Osimhen New Two Years Contract Worth N5b to Remain At the Club

This is the period where players sign the dotted line the most in Europe whether in terms of joining a club or extending their stay at their clubs and Super Eagles star striker Victor Osimhen might soon sign an improved deal with his club.

Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world at the moment and the Nigerian forward has been linked to clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea this summer.

Recall that Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis said in June that only a lucrative offer will make the club consider selling the 25-year-old. He also added that a verbal agreement of a two-year contract extension has been proposed to the player.

In the previous campaign, Osimhen made a remarkable contribution to Napoli’s success in winning the Scudetto title, their first in 33 years. He recorded an impressive tally of 31 goals contributed, comprising of 26 goals and 5 assists, throughout the course of 32 league games.

Osimhen’s exceptional performance undoubtedly played a crucial role in his team’s triumph and solidified his status as a key player in their success.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian top media outfit reported that Victor Osimhen has been offered an improved the deal which will see him earn 7 million euros – a 2.5 million increase from his former earnings. The new deal will see him remain at the club until 2027.

“De Laurentiis has proposed a significant increase in salary, from 4.5 to 7 million, extending the deadline from 2025 to 2027,” La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote.

“At the same time, the club would lower its claims, through the inclusion of a release clause between 100 and 120 million, in all likelihood along the lines of Kim’s, i.e. proportional to the buyer’s turnover”.

Victor Osimhen was recently named the fourth best striker in the world according to ESPN and Napoli will hope that their top striker will put pen to paper in the weeks ahead.
