Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka has joined Serbian champions on a three year deal as he joins the club on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract at Czech side Slavia Prague.
The 27-years-old striker expressed his delight to join the club and he alluded that joining the club is big step for his career which has now lasted over 10 years in Europe.
“I already had the opportunity to visit the stadium and I am delighted with Maracana. It’s great to be in Zvezda, I feel great, everyone welcomed me and I can’t wait to play,” Olayinka told the club’s official website.
“I watched several Zvezda matches during the spring, I saw that we have a lot of quality players and a great team. Coming to Zvezda is a big step for my career.
“I am aware that it is a step forward, and change, although it is not easy, goes with the job of a football player. This is a new challenge that I have set before myself.”
Peter Olayinka is a proven goal scorer. The Super Eagles striker scored 49 times in 178 appearances for Slavia Prague between the 2018-1019 season and 2022-2023 season.
He is also a serial winner with three Czech League titles and three Czech Cup titles as well which he won in the 2018–19, 2019–20, 2020–21 football season.
