The quarter-final draw for the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League season has been decided and the stage has been set for old foes in the competition face-off again.
While Manchester City and Chelsea have been handed a relatively easy draw, Liverpool and PSG have some “disputes” to settle against Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Liverpool fans are still nursing the pain of Mohammed Salah’s shoulder injury in the2018 final after he was pulled down by Sergio Ramos in the first half. However, the Reds have the opportunity to take the opportunity to strike back as Real Madrid take on Liverpool in one of the quarterfinals fixtures.
PSG, having worked hard over the years to get their hands on the “Holy Grail”, Bayern Munich denied them the opportunity after defeating the French Champions 1-0 in last season’s final.
However, PSG under new manager, Mauricio Pochettino will look to not only get their pound of flesh back but also stop the Germans from retaining their UEFA Champions League title.
Manchester City will take on 2013 finalist, Borrusia Dortmund while Chelsea play Porto in what promises to be a good watch considering how the 2004 champions saw-off Juventus in the previous round.
The Winner between Bayern Munich and PSG will take on whoever emerges victorious between Manchester City and Borrusia Dortmund for a place in the semi-finals of the competition. The draw applies to Real Madrid or Liverpool VS Chelsea or Porto as well.
The Quarter-Finals will be played on 6th/7th and 13th/14th April, the semi-finals will be played on 27th/28th of April and 4th/5th of May while the final is billed for the 29th of May, 2021 at the Instanbul, Stadium, Turkey.
