Super Eagles defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem got relegated from the Spanish La Liga with Leganes.

Leganes played out a 2-2 draw with newly-crowned champions Real Madrid in the final game of the season.

Real Madrid took the lead early as the ninth minute when captain Sergio Ramos converted from Isco.

Jonathan Cristian Silva provided the equalizer for Bryan Gil to convert in the 45th minute as both teams went to the team level.

Marco Asensio put Real Madrid back in front in the 52nd minute with Isco getting his second assist.

Jonathan Cristian Silva recorded his second assist in the 78th-minute for Roger Assale for another equalizer.

Leganes could not find the winner as both sides shared the points.

Both Omeruo and Awaziem were not in action and could not help their team.

Leganes got relegated as RCD Espanyol played out a 0-0 draw with Celta Vigo. The result meant that Celta Vigo narrowly beat Leganes to stay in La Liga for another season with just one point.
