Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is on course to win another Serie A golden boot after scoring a brace for Serie A club Napoli in the first game of the 2023/24 season.
Napoli defeated Frosinone 3-1 on Saturday, August 19 at the Stadio Benito Stirpe.
Abdoui Haroui gave Frosinone the lead in the seventh minute of the game from the penalty spot.
Italian winger Matteo Politano equalised for the visiting side 17 minutes later.
Osimhen put Napoli 2-1 up in the 42nd minute with a clinical finish to take an advantage into the halftime break.
Osimhen got another goal in the 79th minute to seal the win for the Serie A champions.
Osimhen has scored twice in one Serie appearance this term.
Napoli are currently second on the Serie A table with three points and a goal difference on two after matchday one.
