Thomas Partey, the 26 year old Ghanian has been linked to Arsenal and other top clubs  for the few weeks but latest  reports has it that Arsenal appears to be the choice of the highly rated defensive midfielder with his father’s recent comments.

While speaking to a Radio station in Ghana, Jacob Partey (his father) believe that his son has a higher chance of joining Mikel Arteta’s side this summer.

“I called my son after hearing the rumours and he told me that the rumours are true,” said Jacob Partey. “He told me they are holding talks between him and Arsenal. It all depends on the offer Atletico are demanding.

“If he goes to Arsenal, fine, they have a lot of supporters in Ghana. I will be happy if he decides to move to Arsenal. What they are discussing now is how Atletico will release him.”

Thomas Partey’s release clause from Atletico Madrid is reported to be in the region of 54 million pounds and his contract expired in 2022.
