Former Super Eagles captaim: John Mikel Obi has terminated his contract with Turkish Super League side: Trabzonspor on mutual consent.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner made this known on his Instagram page. Mikel Obi sited reasons for terminating his contract with the Trabzonspor who are edging closer to their first league title in over three decades.
According to his post on Instagram, Mikel wrote that:
“There is more to life than football, I do not feel comfortable and don’t want to play football under this condition (CoronaVirus). Everyone should be with their loved ones and families at this critical times. Season should be cancelled as the World is facing such turbulent times.”
