Shaun White gushes over ‘incredible’ girlfriend Nina Dobrev and their ‘beautiful relationship’

Nearly two years into their romance, three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White gushed that his relationship with actress Nina Dobrev was still ‘beautiful.’

‘Nina’s incredible. What an influence on my life,’ the San Diego-born 35-year-old told People on Tuesday.

‘Not only does she run her own show, her own world, companies she’s involved in, things she’s producing, all this stuff going on. She holds me to this same high standard which is so wonderful to have in a partner.’

Due to strict COVID-19 border restrictions, Shaun was unable to visit the Bulgarian-born, Toronto-raised 32-year-old in Canada where she just wrapped Chris Nelson’s murder mystery Reunion on Wednesday.

‘That was probably one of the toughest things because I couldn’t get into Canada. I tried. I was turned around,’ White recalled.

‘I was like, “C’mon I was at the Olympics here. You remember? I cut my hair.” It’s challenging, it’s hard.’

The snowboarding-skateboarding superstar said he and Nina (born Nikolina Dobreva) have a system where they stay in touch and book plane tickets to see each other.

‘I know during the holidays we’re going to meet up around Christmastime,’ Shaun explained.

‘Anything that happens in between then, I’ll jet over and see her. You just make it work, that’s just the goal and key to it all.’
