
Head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has accused a member of DR Congo’s coaching staff of using what looks like voodoo during the penalty shootout.
The Super Eagles lost on penalties to the Leopards in Rabat on Sunday night in the final of the CAF World Cup playoffs.
Following the loss, Eric Chelle was captured on tape charging at the Congolese staff before a Nigerian official stopped him.
In a post-match reaction, Eric Chelle explained to the press that he saw a DR Congo staff member use voodoo.
“During the penalty, all the session, the guy of Congo did voodoo, all the time, that’s why I was a little nervous after him…”
