Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong plays 1st game for Watford, see what happened
Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong made his debut for English championship side Watford on Friday, October 16th.
After playing for the Super Eagles in international friendly games against Tunisia and Algeria he returned to Watford.
He joined Watford in the summer transfer window from Italian Serie A side Udinese.
He played in his first game for Watford against Derby County and featured for 71 minutes before he was substituted for Craig Cathcart.
Watford would score in the 76th minute when Joao Pedro converted a ball by Ben Wilmot.
They would hold on to win the game, as Troost-Ekong took to his official Twitter account to give his thoughts on his debut.
He said, “Happy to make my @WatfordFC debut tonight with 3 points and a clean sheet! Well done to the boys! On to the next one Wednesday.”
