Nigeria’s women’s senior football team, Super Falcons have departed the shores of the country for Melbourne, Australia ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The team alongside its officials left the country via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Sundown evening as they embark on the long trip to the Oceania county.
The Nigeria Football Federation on Saturday had a send forth dinner with the team at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja as they charged them to victory ahead of the competition.
Nigeria are grouped alongside Australia, one of the co-hosts of the competition in group B alongside Canada and Ireland.
Coach Randy Waldrum’s side will take on Canada in their first match of the completion on the 21st of July at the Rectangular Stadium in Melbourne.
