Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, officially unveiled former Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima as his running mate on Wednesday.
This came just two weeks after the party’s national leader chose the lawmaker as his vice-presidential candidate.
Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, and other APC stalwarts, including the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, unveiled Shettima on Wednesday at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
The candidacy of Bola Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima has been met with strong disapproval by Nigerians on the basis of them being Muslims.
Many have cconsidered the decision of Tinubu to pick a Muslim from the north instead of a Christian as a slap on the faces of northern Christians.
