UFC star Conor McGregor beats Messi and Ronaldo on Forbes’ highest-paid athletes’ list

Forbes has revealed the highest-paid athlete list for the year 2020.

Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) star Conor McGregor has been ranked as Forbes’ highest-paid athlete.

McGregor beat out competition from football superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The athletes were ranked in their revenue from the game and endorsement deals.

McGregor made a total of $180 million over the last 12 months, his majority stake in whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve to Proximo Spirits  was sold for $150 million
