The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be without second choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho for the World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde after he called in sick.
This latest development was made known via the Instagram page of the Super Eagles.
Uzoho’s replacement has already been named. Enyimba’s goalkeeper John Noble will stand in for the FC Omonia goalkeeper for the two matches.
John Noble makes a return to the Super Eagles after he got his first call up during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
He was an unused substitute when the team lost 4-0 to Mexico in an international friendly in July.
Players are expected to report to camp in Tangier, Morocco today in preparation for the match against Liberia before they take on Cape Verde three days later in Lagos.
