Born in Lagos 24 years ago before moving to London at the age of 4, Alex Iwobi came into the Nigeria’s national team narrative a few years ago.
A cousin to Super Eagles legend: Jay Jay Okocha, Iwobi is one of the important players in coach Gernot Rohr’s team and he’s often regarded as the leader of the young players in team.
He might not be as flamboyant and nimble as his uncle, Jay Jay Okocha but he’s got some element of trickery in his Arsenal.
On this day, Alex Iwobi’s turns 24 and here’s a throwback to his debut goal for the Super Eagles against Zambia in 2016 during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Ndola. See video here 👇

The former Arsenal midfielder sometimes play as a number 10, 8 or as a wide forward sometimes. Whichever position he plays in, one can be rest assured of his handful of creativity.
Happy Birthday Alex Iwobi 🎉🎉🎉
