Newly invited Super Eagles defender Gabriel Osho displayed his understanding of the Yoruba language during an interview with NFF Media.
Gabriel Osho said “Bawo Ni guys” which means “How are you guys?” in English while responding to questions yesterday at Super Eagles camp.
The former Luton Town defender was born in Reading, United kingdom to Nigerian parents who were both born in Lagos.
The center-back was initially invited to the Super Eagles camp in March by former coach Finidi George but pulled out due to injury and few other things.
Gabriel said he understands what it takes to play for the Super Eagles as he acknowledged the pool of talents in the national team.
The Auxerre defender added that he had waited for the opportunity to get another call-up to the national team and he’s grateful to God for the opportunity.
Gabriel Osho pledges to work as ahard as he can being aware of the expectations of the fans ahead of the games against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The Super Eagles will take on the Cheetars of Benin Republic at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny, Abidjan on Thursday November 14, 2024.
