William Troost-Ekong Wins First-ever Career Title With PAOK Thessaloniki

William Troost-Ekong has won his first-ever title as a professional footballer with newly-crowned Greek champions PAOK Thessaloniki.

PAOK were confirmed champions of Greece on Sunday night after they secured a 2-1 win away at Aris which saw them reach 80 points.

The Super Eagles vice captain joined PAOK last summer from Watford but featured only 10 times in the league for the new champions due to his involvement with Nigeria at the 2023 AFCON and the injury he suffered afterwards.

The 30-year-old defender has returned from injury but yet to fixture for the side and was not listed for yesterday’s title-winning match.

However, Troost-Ekong was part of the celebation as PAOK lifted their 4th league title on Sunday.

Troost-Ekong took to his official X account to share a picture of himself With the trophy which he tagged as “CHAMPIONS OF GREECE 🏆🇬🇷”

The former Watford defender adds another medal to his cabinet after winning silver with the Super Eagles at the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
