Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye is confident that the Super Eagles will get a positive result when the team take on Cape Verde in their second World Cup qualifiers match on Tuesday despite the absence of the Uk-based players.
Recall that Super Eagles players playing in England and Scotland won’t be available for the match due to United Kingdom COVID-19 protocol that placed Cape Verde as a red zone.
The Super Eagles began their 2022 World Cup qualifier with a 2 nil win over Liberia last Friday at the Teslim Balogun stadium while Cape Verde played a 1-1 draw against Central African Republic.
Maduka Okoye who plays for Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie believes that the team will do its best to get a positive result.
“We will miss them (the absentee players), but we have a big team and the other players can do the same.
“We will prepare as a team very well, it will be a good match against a good opponent in Cape Verde”
