As the saying goes thus: “different strokes for different folks”, what Oyo State Governor: Seyi Makinde did yesterday best describes the aforementioned quote as the country battles multiple cases of #Coronavirus.
While other Governors and relevant agencies in the country are battling the #Coronavirus pandemic which now gradually becoming viral in the country, Governor Seyi Makinde decided to host a mammoth of crowd at Mapo Hall, Ibadan as he welcomed party defactors to the People’s Democratic Party in what he tagged as the “Unification Rally”.
The likes of Chief Olabode George, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Bayelsa State Governor: Duoye Diri, former Ekiti State Governor: Ayo Fayose and other top dignitaries were also present at the rally.
However, Nigerians are not that patient as they have started dragging the Governor Seyi Makinde the state in general in premium mud for assembling such a large number of people despite the spread of the #Coronavirus.
Here are some of their reactions on social media:
That PDP rally in Oyo State today was terrible optics and totally out of the progressive character so far displayed by Seyi Makinde.
I do hope that by tomorrow, Oyo will show working that it is ready to lead the way in the SW in terms of containing and combating the coronavirus.

#Coronavirus: We will soon shutdown all places of worship – Lagos State Government threatens!
I hope Seyi Makinde doesn't stain his good reputation on these streets!! Organising a rally in Ibadan at this time wasn't such a wonderful idea but yeah, we can cut him some slack.#CoronaVirusNigeria #CoronaVirusUpdate #FightCOVID19

The @OfficialPDPNig meet up in Oyo today wasn't a well thought out decision. We all need to take the threat of this COVID 19 seriously. It is very unlike Seyi Makinde to make this type of mistake but he has. There's no need to defend a silly action, truth is PDP goofed!

Hate what politics does to people.
Thought Seyi Makinde was a sensible man.
Why is he hosting a welcome back rally for PDP returnees with COVID-19 lurking?— UGO (@OrjiOkeOsisi) March 19, 2020
