Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel popularl known as “Mayorkun” has named his favourite Victor Osimhen goal in the recently-concluded 2022/2023 football season.
Mayorkun was seen hanging out with the Super Eagles striker somewhere in Lagos recently as he choreographed the goal to the 24-year-old who was smiling as he watched the singer described it.
The Afropop singer picked the brilliant goal Osimhen scored in Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Roma at the Diego Maradona Stadium on the 29th of January.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s left-footed cross from the left flank landed on Victor Osimhen’s chest. The Nigerian striker controlled the ball with right thigh before smashing the ball home to give Napoli the lead.
Osimhen scored 26 goals in 31 league matches as he helped Napoli win the Italian Scudetto for the first time in 33 years. The Super Eagles striker was also named the best striker in the league and he also won the golden boot award for most goals.
