Former Serie A champions AC Milan are interested in signing Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze from Villareal this summer according to reports in Italy. This comes in the wake of growing interest from Real Madrid who are also reportedly interested in the 24-year-old wide forward.
Italian football transfer expert, Gianluca DiMarzio reports that the Milan club are looking to get a right winger for Stefano Pioli and contacts have already been made with Villareal for the potential transfer of the player.
Samuel Chukwueze had an exceptional 2022/2023 season as he scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 50 appearances for the Yellow Submarines as they booked an automatic spot into next season’s Europa League.
The former youth international wrapped up his sensational season in style as he was voted the best African player in the league.
The winger has a year left on his contract and his release clause is pegged at €80m and there are no talks on extension at the moment.
