Burna Boy wins Best International Act At BET awards! Video

Burna Boy, the popular Afrobeat star whose real name is Damini Ogulu, emerged victorious at the 2023 Black Entertainment Awards, securing the prestigious Best International Act award.

The ceremony took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles, USA.

This is not the first time Burna Boy has been recognized at the BET Awards; he previously won in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Among the formidable contenders in the category were Ayra Starr, Stormzy, Aya Nakamura, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Tiakola, and Uncle Waffles, whom Burna Boy triumphed over to claim the award for the record 4th time.

Burna Boy coincidentally dropped the visuals of his first single of the year: “Sittin’ On Top of the World” featuring 21 Savage a few hours after receiving the award. The single is off his seventh studio album which is set to be released later in the year.

The “African Giant” crooner announced the release of the video on his Twitter page.

According to reports, his seventh studio album will be released under his record label and not Atlantic Records.
