Goodluck Jonathan assures his relationship with President Buhari is solid (video)
Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Ebele Goodluck Jonathan has stated that he maintains a healthy relationship with his predecessor.
Goodluck Jonathan met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the statehouse on Tuesday, July 21st.
Jonathan met with Buhari who named the Agbor railway facility and the Warri-Itakpe railway route him.
Speaking to reporter Jonathan stated that he appreciated the gesture of President Buhari and commended the efforts of infrastructural development done by his administration.
Jonathan said, “Let me use this opportunity to commend Mr. President publicly. I’ve already sent a letter to appreciating. It’s a good gesture.
“And completing the railway programme is good. It shows that the President is doing, is going on with the legacy projects of the previous administrations. That is the way to go.
“I sent a letter to him. I commended him verbally too but you are asking me now. Let me also do it publicly. I appreciate it, I thank Mr. President, the Minister of Transportation and others that made it possible” h
Jonathan later went in-depth to reveal he has maintained a solid relationship with President Buhari despite speculation from the media.
He said, “You have been seeing me coming and I have been having friendly conversations. So, our relationship is ok.”
