Insecurity: Nigerians know we have done our best – President Buhari (video)
President Buhari said his administration since it came on board in 2015, has done its best to curb the high level of insecurity in different regions in the country.
He also condemned the waves of killing and other security challenges in the North Central region as he termed it as “disturbing”.
However, President Buhari believes that the various security agents including the military can do much better in terms of combating the security challenges of the country.
The President made these remarks while speaking to newsmen at the State House in Abuja shortly after observing the Eid El-Kabir prayers.
He said;
“We want security, prosperity, and the wellbeing of all Nigerians.
“I want Nigerians to be very conscious of their country. What we inherited when we came around in 2016 was Boko Haram in the North East and the militants in the South-South. Nigerians know that we have done our best.
“What is coming up in North West and North Central is disturbing indeed. But I believe the military and the police and other law enforcement agencies, I think they could do much better, but we are keeping them on the alert to do their duties.”
