Jordan Kadiri on target as Lommel sweep aside Club Brugge
Nigerian forward Jordan Attah Kadiri opened scoring on 33rd minute as Lommel SK defeated Club Brugge U23 by 3-1 in the Belgian First Division B at the Soiveireinstadion on Sunday night.
The all-action player, dubbed the new ‘Amokachi” by adoring fans, paved the way for Lommel SK to move into third place in the table, just four points from a promotion play-off spot.
After his goal, Club Brugge equalised from the spot through Thibo Baetan but Marlos Moreno soon restored the host team’s lead in the 54th minute before Manfred Ugalde converted a 67th minute penalty to ensure all three points.
Kadiri came off in the 64th minute for Robin Henkens but the damage had already been done with Club Brugge now consigned to the foot of the 8-team table.
Lommel SK’s next game is away at Deinze in November 21 and Kadiri will be hoping to increase his goal tally against their fifth-placed opponents.
