The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) which comprises of military formations from Nigeria, Niger and Cameroun said that it killed about 45 Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in a joint air raid yesterday.
The Defense Headquarters in Nigeria made this known on Thursday morning via a tweet from its verified handle.
According to the statement on the website of the Defense Headquarters, the MNJTF carried out the onslaught on the terrorists was carried out in the Dumbla and Location Charlie region on the fringes of Lake ChadĀ with airstrikes from the Nigerien and Nigerian Airforce based on accurate intelligence received from credible sources.
The Artillery Regiment of Sector 3 of the MNJTF also provided support in the bombardment of the criminals.

The Chief of Military Public Operations (MNJTF) said the task force appreciate the contribution of its allied forces and urge the local communities to support the task force in its bid to achieve the mission at hand.
