The past week few weeks have seen a massive surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country and it has to some.extent out on hold the idea to reopen some public institutions especially Schools and Higher Institutions.
The National Center for Disease Control on Friday night recorded 600 new COVID-19 cases which brings the total number of cases in the country to 35,454.
Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory had the highest number of cases in this report with 129 and 118 respectively while Abia and Gombe States recorded 4 and 3 cases respectively.

According to the NCDC, over 206,422 people have been tested so far and the country has 20,049 active cases with Lagos state having the highest among others with 11,092 active cases in the state.
