Nigeria’s players for inaugural Global Esports Games 2021 decided


All is now set for Nigeria to be represented at the inaugural Global Esports Games billed to hold in Singapore in December 2021.

Nigeria’s Team LESF which is put together by a wholly private leading Esports organization, the Lagos Esports Forum (LESF) will have 2 gamers – Chukwudi Okoli (Street Fighter V) and Trust Ehiguese (eFootball PES 2021) who emerged as champions at the National selections held on October 2, 2021.

According to Adeyemi Adesanya, the Coordinator of the selection process and Chief Marketing Officer of the Lagos Esports Forum, this is just the beginning of the journey to Singapore as the gamers now have to put in the time and work to train to confront the best players from across the globe.

On his part, the CEO of LESF and Secretary General of the Africa Esports Development Federation (a body created by the GEF), Sayo Owolabi said he was delighted with the efforts being put into ensuring Nigeria continues to thrive on the global Esports scene and with about 70 days to go, he assured that Africa will make a good statement at the inaugural GEG2021.

The Global Esports Games (GEG2021) is the flagship Esports tournament powered by the prestigious Global Esports Federation (GEF) and it is set to feature players from over 80 member federations and territories playing for glory in 3 game titles – Valve’s Dota 2, Capcom’s Street Fighter V and Konami’s eFootball PES 2021.
