Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen ranked 15th best player in Europe; ahead of Messi and Ronaldo
Victor Osimhen has been ranked the 15th best player in Europe for the last month.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and LOSC Lille forward was ranked 15th because of his performance between February and March.
The 22-year-old was ahead of some big names such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski.
The rankings were published on the website of the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory.
The rankings are monthly and some of the considerations to take top spot include distribution, vision, technique, recovery, take ons, accuracy, risk-taking, player’s creativity, rigour, shooting, change creation,
Osimhen had a ranking of 90.7 to be placed 15 but was not the highest-ranked player from his team Lille. The three teammates in front of him include Renato Sanches who was ranked 1st with a rating of 99.0, Jonathan Ikoné ranked 6th with a rating of 93.3 and Benjamin André ranked 10th with 92.3 rating.
