Despite testing positive for COVID-19 24 hours ago, an unnamed student wrote his first West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) subject from the isolation centre in Gombe State.
The Gombe State Public Health Emergency Operation Center took its twitter handle to post photos of the student and his invigilator who was fully kitted in a personal protective Equipment (PPE).
The student is said to be a final year pupil of the Government Senior Secondary School, Gombe and he wrote his WASSCE subject; Mathematics today with his face mask on.
The tweet reads;
“Health and education are a priority in Gombe State.A final year student of GSSS Gombe tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 and was isolated yesterday,today he is writing Mathematics SSCE while ensuring his invigilator is well protected.”
