Sunday Shodipe, the suspected rapist and serial killer said he killed a woman immediately he escaped from Police custody on the 11th of August before his re-arrest on the 23rd at Iwo Road, Ibadan.

He is allegedly responsible for the killing of at least, three women during the COVID-19 lockdown according to report.

He made the confession of him killing one Funmilayo Oladimeji after he escaped from Police cell in Mokola, Ibadan when he was paraded alongside 32 other suspects by the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr Joe Enwonwu.

Mr Shodipe said;

After escaping from Mokola, I needed to appease the god and that was why I went to Akinyele to kill the woman. Blood gushed out and I recited what Baba always said I should recite, mentioning his name. I disappeared as usual.”

The Police Commissioner confirmed the death of the woman who was promptly rushed to the University College Hospital in the state capital but she died eventually.

He also confirmed that Sunday Shodipe will now be kept in a correctional facility.
