Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum has revealed that he would have walked away from his job a long time but the players have kept him going so far.
The American coach made this revelation while speaking on a podcast called “The Whistle” a few days ago. He accused the Nigerian Football Federation of never asking him what he needs to improve the team despite being with the ladies for more than two years.
“What keeps me going is the players; otherwise, I would have walked away from this job a long time ago. I saw the NFF response to my previous comments on the other podcast, and it just seemed like a really childish response. In the two-and-a-half years that I’ve been here, I have never had one time that the federation came to me and asked, “What do you need, coach?” What keeps me going is the players; otherwise, I would have walked away from this job a long time ago.”
Randy Waldrum revelation comes after the Nigeria Football Federation responded to his initial accusations a few days ago. The NFF asked the American coach to stop babbling but focus on his job which is to prepare the Super Falcons for the FIFA Women World Cup which kicks-off on July 20th.
The Super Falcons will Play one of the co-hosts of the competition: Australia, Republic Ireland and Canada in Group B of the competition as they look to qualify for the knockout stages for the third time since they made their debut in 1999.
