Nathaniel Bassey, Wale Adenuga, Daddy Freeze react as Ogun State make BBNaija 2020 winner Laycon an ambassador

Several celebrities have reacted to the Ogun State Government making  Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 5 a youth ambassador in Ogun State.

Nathaniel Bassey and Wale Adenuga, were not impressed with the decision as well as the cash and house gifts for Laycon but Daddy Freeze was okay with the situation.

Wale Adenuga took to his official Instagram account to post a statement about the situation.

He said, “I’m totally disheartened by the Governor of Ogun state making the winner of #bbnaija an ambassador of the state, rewarding him further with cash and a house.

No thanks to you sir for further entrenching the sad narrative that we are a nation that rewards trivialities and mediocrity.

Our values keeps going to the dogs!

Post Script: I’ve had so many comments on this and that’s to be expected. People have taken exception to the term ‘dogs’. This is an idiomatic expression and NOT the labelling of a person. My apologies to you for misconstruing that figure of speech and definitely won’t come here labelling anyone a dog.

Nathaniel Bassey then added in his comments, ”God bless you pastor Wale for posting this. Many are twisting this already. I believe pastor Wale is highlighting the idea of this and not necessarily about the person involved.

Daddy Freeze the responded to both Adenuga and Bassey. He said, “I don’t get this @itslaycon deserves this and more. He represented Nigeria well in the house and is entitled to the good fortune his fame as the winner of BBN lockdown is bringing to him.

Laycon finished from the University of Lagos with a 2:1, a second class upper. He has showcased his tenacity, despite his health challenges and is a beacon of hope to our youths in a time of crises and despair, by combining his talent as a musician and his academic prowess with the brawn needed to win BBN.

So why should those who support him be discouraged? 🤷
Reform police una no talk, Na Laycon be Nigeria problem? 🙄

Guys, this one no enter, face midnight challenges or whatever else it is that you do or are you tired of preaching about the ‘favor of God’ that Laycon is supposedly enjoying?🙄
Thank you.
