Newly-appointed head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Finidi George will earn N15m per month according to sources close to the football federation.
Finidi George, a former Super Eagles player was unveiled yesterday in Abuja as the new coach of the team after leaving his role as head of coach at Enyimba.
Unlike his predecessor, Jose Peseiro who was paid between $50,000-$70,000 monthly during his 22 months spell, George will be paid way lesser than that, although he there will be bouses and allowances, sources say.
The new coach will work with two assistants who are also ex-Super Eagles players: Daniel Amokachi and Benjamin James.
He would also work with a Turkish match analyst, Mehmet Ozturk, Tunji Baruwa who will serve as the goalkeeper trainer while Chima Onyeike will work as the fitness trainer.
Reports have it that all Finidi George’s assistants and back room staff will be paid on match-by-match basis.
Finidi George signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for another year after the Africa Cup of Nations next year.
