Chelsea put what has been a difficult past few weeks behind them as they record their first Premier League victory over Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Caesar Apilicueuta scored the first goal with five minutes to half time as he buried the ball beyond Nick Pope at his near post after a blistering counter attack orchestrated by Mason Mount and Calum-Hudson Odoi.
It was indeed a dominant performance by the home side but the second goal didn’t come until the 84th minutes as left-back Marcos Alonso, who has been out of favour under ex-manager, Frank Lampard finished off from a volley in the box to secure all three points for the Blues.
Thomas Tuchel is now the first Chelsea manager since Rafa Benitez to keep a clean sheet first two Premier League games.
Here is how Chelsea fans are reacting on Twitter 👇
The way Alonso is playing, I think Ben may have to Chil-Well on the bench. 😂😂#CHEBUR

Burnley only had one shot on target.
Our 2 (Azpi) and 3 (Alonso) came through for us.

I'm telling you whichever youth coach made Marcos Alonso a LB robbed us of one of the greatest strikers of this generation
