Charlize Theron enjoyed a relaxed New Year as she shared a candid snap of herself napping with one of her daughters and her dog this week.

The Oscar-winning actress, 46, looked radiant as she cuddled with her child – the star is mother to Jackson, 10, and August, six – and her pooch on a sofa.

The star showcased her low-key style in a colourful maxi dress and Care Bears blanket as she wrapped an arm around her daughter.

On Christmas Day, Charlize  shared a holiday message on Instagram while enjoying a white Christmas with her daughters on the slopes.

The actress posted photos of herself and her daughters Jackson, 10, and August, six, wearing snow gear and goggles.

Charlize wore an all-black outfit while skiing along with blue mirrored ski goggles and was pictured at the top of a run with a hint of a rainbow behind her.

Her girls were also bundled up and sported safety helmets and goggles while on the slopes. 

The Oscar-winning actress also held up her poles while posing on the mountain with a snowboarder.

The family fun in the snow was a change of pace for Charlize who last month soaked up the sun in Cabo San Lucas with her daughters and mother Gerda.

Charlize recently spoke to Elle about quarantining with her family.

‘I was with the people I love the most, my children and my mom. There was an acknowledgement and understanding that this was time that I would never normally have with my family and so in that regard I really enjoyed it,’ she said.

Charlize can next be seen in the Netflix young adult fantasy film The School For Good And Evil.
